Ingredients

Dip Base
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.75 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour heat-treated
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
Decoration
  • 0.5 cup chocolate sprinkles jimmies
  • 2 tbsp white icing or melted white chocolate

Method

  1. Heat Treat Flour: Spread flour on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes to kill any bacteria. Let cool completely.
  2. Cream Ingredients: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add brown sugar, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt. Beat until fluffy.
  3. Combine: Slowly mix in the cooled flour until just combined. Fold in the mini chocolate chips by hand.
  4. Shape: Place dough onto a large piece of plastic wrap. Wrap it up and use your hands to mold it into a football (oval) shape. Chill for 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. Decorate: Unwrap and place on a serving platter. Press chocolate sprinkles all over the exterior. Use white icing to pipe on the laces.
  6. Serve: Arrange pretzels, strawberries, and apple slices around the football for dipping.

Notes

Chef Luna's Tip: Ensure you use mini chocolate chips rather than regular size. Regular chips harden too much in the fridge and make the dip difficult to scoop.
