Ingredients
  

Habanero Pepper Mix
  • 2-3 habanero peppers fresh or dried, finely chopped or crushed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro fresh
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup salsa or sauce optional, for added flavor

Method
 

  1. Wear gloves and prepare the habanero peppers by chopping finely. Remove seeds to reduce heat if desired.
  2. Heat olive oil in a frying pan and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  3. Add the chopped habanero peppers and cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring frequently to release their aroma.
  4. Add lime juice and chopped cilantro, stir to combine, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve immediately as a topping for tacos, grilled meats, or mix into your favorite salsa or sauce.

Notes

This dish is spicy! Start with fewer habaneros if you're not used to the heat. For a creamier variation, stir in a tablespoon of Greek yogurt or serve with avocado.
