Chicken Fajita Marinade

Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 limes Lime juice
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Cumin
  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 1 tbsp Chili powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Fresh cilantro
  • 1 tbsp Orange juice Optional, for a touch of sweetness

Method
 

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 4 hours for deeper flavor).
  3. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the leftover marinade.
  4. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thin strips for serving.

Notes

This marinade also works wonderfully for grilling or sautéing other proteins like shrimp, steak, or pork.
