Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup Soft cheese (cream cheese, whipped ricotta, or Greek yogurt) Choose based on preference.
  • 2 cups Fresh tomatoes (grape or cherry preferred) Chopped into small pieces.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Extra virgin preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh basil Chopped, or use dried in a pinch.
  • to taste Salt Flaky salt is recommended.
  • to taste Black pepper Freshly cracked is best.
Optional Add-Ins
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic glaze For drizzle.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Optional, for added flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Chopped olives For a twist.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Chop ripe tomatoes into small pieces and toss them into a bowl.
  2. Spread your chosen soft cheese onto the bottom of a shallow serving dish.
  3. Spoon the tomato mixture over the cheese evenly.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with chopped basil, flaky salt, and black pepper.
  5. Add balsamic glaze if desired and serve with crackers or crostini.

Notes

Best fresh, but can be stored for one day if leftovers remain. Keep layers separate in the fridge for best results. Serve at room temperature.
