- Preheat oven to 400°F. Season ribs generously with salt and pepper. Rub garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar on both sides of the ribs.
- Place ribs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes on each side to seal in the juices and render fat.
- Place the ribs in the slow cooker, meat side facing out. Cover with BBQ sauce, reserving some for serving later.
- Cook on low for 4-6 hours, until the ribs are tender but not falling off the bone.
- Serve warm with extra BBQ sauce on top.
Notes
For best results, use baby back ribs or spare ribs. Feel free to adjust the cooking time for a more tender or firmer result. This recipe is easily scalable for multiple racks of ribs.
