  • 1 rack Pork Ribs about 2 lbs
  • 32 oz BBQ Sauce your favorite sauce
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Brown Sugar

Equipment

  • Slow Cooker

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Season ribs generously with salt and pepper. Rub garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar on both sides of the ribs.
  2. Place ribs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil. Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes on each side to seal in the juices and render fat.
  3. Place the ribs in the slow cooker, meat side facing out. Cover with BBQ sauce, reserving some for serving later.
  4. Cook on low for 4-6 hours, until the ribs are tender but not falling off the bone.
  5. Serve warm with extra BBQ sauce on top.

Notes

For best results, use baby back ribs or spare ribs. Feel free to adjust the cooking time for a more tender or firmer result. This recipe is easily scalable for multiple racks of ribs.
