Method
- Measure the Chex cereal into a large mixing bowl and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine green candy melts, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
- Pour the green chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently fold with a spatula until evenly coated.
- Transfer the coated cereal to a gallon-sized plastic bag containing the powdered sugar. Shake well until all pieces are covered.
- Spread the mixture onto parchment paper and immediately top with gold sprinkles while the chocolate is still setting.
- Allow to cool for 20 minutes before serving or storing in an airtight container.
Notes
Use a fine-mesh sifter to remove excess powdered sugar for a cleaner look. If you don't have green melts, use white chocolate and 2 drops of green oil-based food coloring.
