Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 bags Takis Fajita chips crushed
  • 1 lb chicken breast or beef strips sliced thin
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper sliced
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 tbsp fajita seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 4 flour tortillas warmed
Optional Garnishes
  • sour cream to taste
  • fresh cilantro chopped
  • avocado sliced

Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife
  • Mixing bowl

Method

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced chicken or beef and cook for 6–8 minutes, until browned and cooked through.
  2. Remove the meat and set aside. In the same skillet, sauté bell peppers and onion until tender, about 5–7 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
  3. Return the meat to the pan. Add fajita seasoning and lime juice. Mix everything to coat evenly and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
  4. Crush the Takis Fajita chips in a ziplock bag or food processor until you have coarse crumbs.
  5. Warm flour tortillas and fill each with meat and veggie mixture. Top with crushed Takis chips and optional garnishes.
  6. Serve immediately with your favorite sides like salsa, guacamole, or Mexican rice.

Notes

Feel free to swap proteins or add toppings like shredded cheese or jalapeños for extra heat. Use lettuce wraps for a low-carb version!
