  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar with the mother
  • 0.5 lemon juiced
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ceylon cinnamon
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch pink Himalayan salt
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 8 oz water room temperature
  • 500 mg berberine powder optional

Method
 

  1. Pour room temperature water into a glass.
  2. Add apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, ginger, cinnamon, cayenne, salt, and chia seeds.
  3. If using, stir in berberine powder.
  4. Let the mixture sit for 3 minutes to allow chia seeds to swell.
  5. Stir again and drink slowly on an empty stomach.

Notes

This drink is best consumed first thing in the morning. Avoid using hot water to preserve ingredient benefits. Shake or stir before drinking if ingredients settle.
